MEET – Furqan Mian MSc CEng MCIBSE
Furqan is an accomplished building services and built environment professional with 35 years of experience across the UK and Internationally. His ability to understand clients requirements as well as their constraints means he can meet expectations, and his vast experience means he can pivot between demands to ensure a seamless, influential and consistent approach to service delivery.
Having graduated in mechanical engineering he worked in HVAC design on commercial, residential, leisure and retail properties as well as specialist scientific and industrial premises. He then helped lead the development of a technical FM division building a team and client portfolio from London to Edinburgh.
Furqan has also worked for 16 years across the Middle East working with blue chip organisations on some globally iconic properties and master communities, in senior management positions.
The work entailed planning from development and design through to operations with significant input to design decisions, major infrastructure expenditure and building in house teams as well as developing relationships across highly matrixed organisations.
